DBJ to Hold 2nd New Business Plan Competition for Women Entrepreneurs-Winners Will Receive up to 10 Million Yen in Prize Money and Mentoring Support-

Development Bank of Japan Inc. (DBJ; President and Chief Executive Officer: Toru Hashimoto) will soon be inviting applications for the 2nd New Business Plan Competition for Women Entrepreneurs. Candidates will compete for monetary prizes and support services to assist them in turning their business plans into functioning enterprises.

The DBJ Women Entrepreneurs Center was opened in November 2011 to provide funds and business skills, and other forms of support to women aspiring to create new business. The New Business Plan Competition for Women Entrepreneurs is an integral part of this plan. Winners of the 1st competition were announced in June 2012.

For the 2nd competition, judges will be looking for outstanding new business plans showing innovation and good commercial potential. Winners will receive up to 10 million yen in prize money, as well as expert advice from both DBJ and outside entrepreneurs to assist them in turning their plans into commercial enterprises.
