Publication ofMethod of Innovation for Japanese Med-Tech Industry
Development Bank of Japan Inc. (DBJ; President and Chief Executive Officer: Masanori Yanagi) is pleased to announce the publication of a new survey report, Method of Innovation for Japanese Med-Tech Industry: Essence of Silicon Valley Style and How Japan Can Tap IT.
Medical devices are attracting interest as a major industry with great future potential. Although Japanese med-tech companies are doing well, US med-tech companies are currently leading the market worldwide. One of the reasons seems to be a technological ecosystem in which innovation is partly driven by venture companies that are then acquired by major companies. In this report, we consider a new way for increased Japanese participation in this sector's innovation.
Those with an interest in the report are invited to visit the DBJ website, where it can be found under "Other Reports"
