【DBJ Research No.445】Social Implementation of Physical AI: Industrial Structure and Policy for Delivering Technology to the Fiel

Development Bank of Japan Inc. ("DBJ") has issued a research report titled “Social Implementation of Physical AI: Industrial Structure and Policy for Delivering Technology to the Field”.

The competitive focus in the generative AI market is gradually shifting from the scale of general-purpose models to the implementation of domain-specific AI. This report analyzes the shortage of systems integrator("SIer") functions that connect AI vendors with user companies as a structural challenge hindering the social implementation of physical AI in Japan.

As a potential solution, it explores the possibility of joint ventures between AI vendors and user companies. The report also proposes the development of demand-side support measures, including subsidies for proof-of-concept initiatives and tax incentives.

Details of the report can be found on the DBJ website " Research Reports ". We encourage you to refer to it.

Applying its corporate philosophy--"Design the future with financial expertise: Continue to expand financial frontiers; Provide the best solutions for customers and society; Pursue sustainable development for Japan and the world"--DBJ will continue to create diverse financial solutions to actively support further development of the food and agriculture industries in Japan.
