Financing for Fujiwara Techno-Art Based on Health Management Ranking

Fujiwara Techno-Art Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Okayama, Okayama Prefecture), one of Japan's leading brewing machinery manufacturers, produces brewing and plant equipment used during the production process, mainly for brewing refined sake (rice wine), shochu (distilled spirit), soy sauce and soybean paste. Leveraging its high technical prowess, which is exemplified by the automated rotary koji (sweet fragrant rice mold) making equipment--koji was traditionally produced relying on the experience and intuition of craftsmen--the company has grown to boast the largest capacity in koji production in Japan. The company therefore is supporting Japan's food culture, which has gained attention worldwide in recent years.

DBJ commended Fujiwara Techno-Art for the following measures it is carrying out, measures that have contributed to it becoming the first company in Okayama Prefecture to become certified under DBJ's proprietary Employees' Health Management Rated Loan Program and thereby win it financing.

(1) Full-fledged safety management owing to the performance of quantitative risk assessment at its plants and the implementation of construction compliance projects at construction sites
(2) Pouring energies into the improvement of employee satisfaction by actively taking in employee opinions, mainly from employee surveys, and review of the human resources program
(3) Maintaining a positive workplace environment, including revamping the employee cafeteria and providing a menu that takes employee health into consideration

In addition, the DBJ Group is providing support to Fujiwara Techno-Art that does not stop at financing and investment but also includes support of the company's development vision, which is to maintain a global leader position in fermentation industry.
