Acquisition of Equity in Doi Seisakusho via Joint Investment with Taiho Industrial (Special Investment Operations)

DBJ, in conjunction with Taiho Industrial Corporation (headquarters: Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture), implemented a joint investment to acquire preferred shares issued by Doi Seisakusho Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo), a comprehensive manufacturer of underground and overhead distribution cables and other materials.

Taiho Industrial is an engineering company that mainly handles sales and maintenance of energy-saving, infrastructure maintenance, and new energy related facilities, equipment, and materials, mainly in the Shikoku region.

Since it was founded in 1942, Doi Seisakusho has established a rich track record in the manufacturing and sales of distribution, transmission, substation, and power generation overhead and underground cables and other materials.

This project is the first time Taiho Industrial acquired a company outside of the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. This investment is to further accelerate growth of the infrastructure business by fortifying the collaboration between these two companies, both of which possess a concrete business foundation. DBJ supplied risk money through Special Investment Operations, expecting that the effective use of management resources secured through this project will contribute to the fortification of the competitiveness of both companies and also the revitalization of the local economy.
