【DBJ Research No.422】Publication of Harnessing Perovskite Solar Cells from Japan for Global Renewable Energy Transformation

Development Bank of Japan Inc. ("DBJ") has issued a research report titled "Harnessing Perovskite Solar Cells from Japan for Global Renewable Energy Transformation".

The perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are a cutting-edge technology mentioned in our previous report, "Innovative Technologies Paving New Possibilities for the Power System", as an important innovative technology to achieve carbon neutrality worldwide. PSCs are expected to be deployed in new installation sites, such as building facades, by leveraging their characteristics of being lightweight and flexible. Japanese companies are currently advancing their R&D efforts to implement this technology by 2030.

From the perspective of promoting the adoption of PSCs globally, this report analyzes trends related to PSCs and explores solutions to overcome challenges until wide social implementation.

Details of the report can be found on the DBJ website "Research Reports". We encourage you to refer to it.

Applying its corporate philosophy--"Design the future with financial expertise: Continue to expand financial frontiers; Provide the best solutions for customers and society; Pursue sustainable development for Japan and the world"--DBJ will continue to create diverse financial solutions to actively support further development of the food and agriculture industries in Japan.
