Development Bank of Japan Inc. ("DBJ") has joined and announced its participation in the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Forum.
The TNFD is an international initiative aimed at developing a framework for the accurate assessment and disclosure of risks and opportunities pertaining to natural capital and biodiversity. The TNFD Forum was organized to provide support for the framework's discussions and assist in its development.
By participating in the TNFD Forum, DBJ will address importance of natural capital and biodiversity, and promote sustainability for society as a whole through the preservation of natural capital and biodiversity.

DBJ's Fifth Medium-Term Management Plan (see "Fifth Medium-Term Management Plan," May 20, 2021) sets forth the GRIT Strategy* as a means of achieving sustainability through investment and financing. Our participation in the TNFD Forum is linked to the GRIT Strategy, and we shall be active in promoting both.
